About the Race and Cause















Race Timing Provided By:

Race start and finish is on Shevlin Hixon Drive near the Les Schwab Amphitheater stage. The 5K (3.1 mile) loop course will take place on flat, paved pathways and trails through the Old Mill District and along the beautiful Deschutes River. The 10K course will complete the loop twice. New to this year’s event is a Trotters Walk. This will be on the 1.6 mile loop around the Old Mill District pathways for those wishing to have a more leisurely walk.

Start runners 10 & 5K – 9:00 AM

Start walkers 10K & 5K – 9:05 AM

Start Trotters Walk – 9:10 AM (walk is approximately a 1.6 miles)

The 10K & 5K are chipped timed events and awards will go to the top overall male and female finishers. Participants are asked to stay on the sidewalk or road sides of the course as the road will be open to traffic on race day. This is an all-weather event.

Pies * Pies * Pies

The Bend Turkey Trot is offering pies for sale at the event to benefit the La Pine Community Kitchen. Whole Pies: apple, blueberry or strawberry rhubarb, the 9” pies are available for $12.00/each. These are homemade pies that your Grandmother would make! Please order by Thursday, November 17th to ensure you have delicious pies for your Thanksgiving festivities. A limited number of pies that are not pre-ordered will be available for purchase at the event. All proceeds go to the La Pine Community Kitchen to help feed the hungry in Central Oregon.

Help Feed the Hungry

Please help feed the hungry of South Deschutes County by bringing 4-5 packages or cans of non-perishable food for the La Pine Community Kitchen Food Pantry. The need is greater than ever this year. We thank you for your generosity during the Holiday Season.

Scavenger Hunt

There will be items hidden on the course throughout the duration of the race so runners and walkers of all skill levels have a chance of finding them! Found items may be redeemed at the prize table in the finish area. Check your race bag for more details.
